At The Hilltop, we’ve been designing and building the perfect View since 1970. Founded by renown landscape architect Jim Deflon and Jim Forrester, The Hilltop is New Mexico’s oldest and largest design-build landscaping firm. We employ over 400 landscape professionals, with experts in both residential and commercial landscape design and construction. From intimate backyard living spaces to multi-acre commercial and recreational properties, The Hilltop strives to give everyone a perfect View.
Jim Deflon leads The Hilltop landscaping design team. A registered landscape architect in New Mexico since 1970 and a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects, Jim has influenced landscaping in New Mexico more than any other individual. Under his direction, the design team includes three additional registered landscape architects, and six landscape designers who have completed their education in landscape architecture. The architects and designers use hand drafting as well as the latest version of computer aided drafting (CAD) in their creative process.
